I totally agree about Kannathil Muthamittal. The girl who plays Amudha is amazing.
Another great little actor is the girl who plays the blind and deaf character as a child in Black. The scenes with her and Amitabh Bachchan were compelling.
Oh yeah, that girl was really really good - I thought she was really deaf/dumb/blind
Oh, one other movie, A Little Romance, starring Diane Lane (when she was 12 or so; I think it was her first film) and a wonderful French boy of the same age. It's the story of a wicked smart girl who's living in Paris because her big executive step-Dad is there and she meets a working class, but equally smart, French boy and they fall in love. I cry at the end of this film every time.
